About to start my 383 stroker rebuild. Need help

Ok i just have a few questions that hours of searching didnt answer. Can i buy just the crank and install it? or do i need to upgrade other parts? if so what other parts should i upgrade? Can i keep my stock pistons? whats a good cam for torque and will pass emissions?

Basically the way i wanted to do this was.........1) Buy the crank, install it 2) cam with rockers (pushrods?) and a HD timing chain. Would i be able to do that?

You will need a different set of pistons that are made for the longer stroke. And you will need to clearance the block to accept the longer crank throws. You're also going to want to replace the bearings while you're at it. The stock 5.7 rods will work, but they won't be optimal.
