About how much room is there for the CAT in the '94-'95 exhaust?
I'm trying to order a 3" highflow Carsound CAT for my exhaust, but I don't know what size fits. My car is a '97 but I'm converting totally to the '94-'95 style exhaust.
So does anyone know about how far it is from the back of the Y-pipe to the start of the Cat-back?
Also, if you know where to buy the flanges, that would be cool too. (I already have one side, since MAC provides a starter pipe off the Y-pipe)
Thanks,
Dan

The cat is welded onto the Y pipe, once you get flanges welded onto the cat (assuming you have an aftermarket y pipe) then you have the flexibility to lengethen or shorten pipes a bit - same with the cat back you can weld to fit.
Thanks for the reply. So I guess it's hard to really measure it since the stock Y-pipe has the CAT welded to it? I didn't know the CAT was welded in.
Yeah, I have the MAC mid headers that I'm putting on in this winter, and I'll also have the '94-'95 style hooker catback.
I'm trying to figure out how far it is from the back of the MAC Y-pipe to the start of the Hooker Cat-back exhaust.
If anyone knows, I'd appreciate it.
