Try the 2.5 inch duals. The 3's are probably to big for your motor. I think the dual 3 inch set up is only needed for around 500-550 flywheel HP if I'm not mistaken. I run dual 3's on my '68, but its supercharged. I have ground clearance issues also, but its not to bad.
