If you are swapping from an auto to a manual, no. You can just leave the fittings loose.

I know you can leave the auto rad. in there, but does the manual rad. have more cooling do to it not having the passing of trans fluid?

The cooling tubes take up a very small amount of space inside the RH tank of the radiator. Not enough to worry about.

yep, but if I were you I'd get a couple pipe pligs and close off the ports, to keep water/corrision from getting in. Wont even cost ya a dollar, and you'll be glag you did if you ever put an auto in there or sell the radiator.
