People with Prothane front end bushings...
Tell me about the lower vertical bushings.
I have my front end tore apart all over my garage. Everything has been burnt out, cleaned, polished, etc and everything is in except for the verticals.
I've got the bottom portion on, after some swearing and a little massaging of the A-arm with a cutting bit, but the uppers just don't make any sense to me. It LOOKS like they should go on like this ^ where the flat part goes into the old sleeve, but the sleeve is nowhere big enough to accept that end and the "detailed"
illustration on the instruction paper shows it going in like this v I think. Either way it looks like the original bolt will be too short to go in there.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

I used Prothane on my fronts too. I remember it was a PITA to get in, but it does fit in there. The upper piece is more like a cap, and yes the stock bolt will fit in there.
I think I used a large c-clamp and mashed it down enough to get it in there, but I still had to use a large hammer to help it in.

oh yeah, that outer shell.
I think I forgot it also at first, but it does have to come out and everything's still very tight getting it back together. Don't use TOO much grease or you'll still have problems getting the shells together, there's no place for the extra grease to go. Just put a very thin layer on it. Good luck!
