A4 Lt1 RMP take off

Not sure if this belong here but when i race i usually drop it down to 1st and take off at 25mph. This is right about 3k rpms. Today i dropped it into 1st went to 30mph which is at about 3.5k rmps and took off. seems to have more of a pull. To you guys think im better off taking off at 25mph or 30mph.
i have stock 2.73 gears, but i thought maybe 3.5k to 5.8k rmps in 1st is to short.

and i dont manually shift the tranny, i just dropit into 1st so i wont have to wait ttill the tranny does it itself and waste almost a second. After first i put into Drive.

Manually downshifting the transmission is alot worse than manually upshifting it. I highly suggest you let the transmission do the work, or else it's going to be time for a rebuild sooner than you'd like.
