A4 help needed.

Every once in awhile, while getting on it pretty good (not floored, just a good bit of pedal), in D the car seems to hold 2nd gear a little to long if I let off right about at the shift point. I'll take off in 1st, it shifts to 2nd and I let off a little bit after that. It seems like it should shift to 3rd, but you can feel and hear the car holding 2nd a little too long. It always shifts to 3rd a second or so later though. Anything wrong with this? Or is it just me letting off and the right, or wrong, point in 2nd gear?

What's your "normal" shift points? A 700 should shift 1-2 at 15-18 MPH, and 2-3 at 35-38 MPH. If that's off, try adjusting the TV cable to get the right points, and then try WOT shifts.
What condition is the fluid in? A delay on the 2-3 shift can be related to the 3-4 clutches going out alot of times. If the fluid looks/smells burnt, your problem might lie there.

I'll have to check the fluid tommorow. Hopefully it shouldn't be too bad with the low amount of miles on the car. I've never really watched for the shift points before while driving. This car sees maybe 1000 miles a year, and when I do drive it I'm not paying attention to the tach. I was just thinking that it was because I was closing the throttle when It was gettting ready to shift.
