I'd first check and clean out the idel air control valve.

How can you check this? I did pull it out once and clean it and push the valve in and pulled it out and it did seem to fix it for awhile. Shawn

To test it use an ohmeter to check the resistance across its terminals. With the car off, unplug the connecter. It has 4 terminals all in a row. Check the resistance across the top 2, and then across the bottom 2. They should both be between 40-80 ohms. If not, then that's where you should start.

I had the same problem, but the guy who programmed my ECU fixed it. If possible, take out your chip and see if it goes away.

Good Luck

I have the same problem without the chip. I don't have a ohn meter so i'm going to just buy a iac valve and see.

Also make sure the throttle cable is properly connected to the holder. I grounded off the plastic part that connects it to the holder because it was a pain to take on and off. About a year later I started having problems and had to get a new cable.
