97 z28. Air pump relay necessary?

I was going through my fuses and noticed the relay is missing. Ive had the car 8 years so I'm sure I took it out when I deleted emissions. But I just read in my manual it controls a bleed valve or something, and cooling fans. I have no air pump and I think my fans work fine. Should I just slap a relay back in or leave it out? Does it matter?
Thanks
Danny.

Shouldn't matter. The AIR pump relay has nothing to do with the fans. They do share a common fuse, though. Maybe that is confusing the situation.

It's not needed, nor does it control a fan of any type. The "bleed valve" you hear is part of the AIR pump recall components, and it isn't necessary.

I may be wrong (can't look right now) but I think it is the same part# as the fan relays. Save it in the Camaro spare parts box.
