97 motor in a 94 Car

I have a 94 Z28 and do to a nitrous misshap it now has a blown engine. I found a wrecked 97 Camaro, motor is built with about 10k miles on it. Guy really doesnt know what all is done to it, can tell it has a cam in it, other than that who knows. My question will my 94 computer and wiring harness work, i am getting the computer and harness from the 97 but it is a 6 speed and mine is an auto so the computer will not work correct?? What am i looking at here, can i use the 94 computer or do i need to find a 97 from an automatic. Also, this motor has been switched over to a coil pack setup very similar to a LS1, anybody ever seen this done before??

You can use you existing harness and don't need to swap computers. You just ignore the few things that the newer engine will have (ex. crank sensor, EVAP vacuum switch...). Also put the knock sensor from your old engine on the new one (if keeping your existing PCM).
Sounds like it might have an LTCC conversion that uses multiple coils. You would need to keep your old coil and ICM, if you don't use the LTCC.

Would you suggest going back to the opti or using the ltcc, i would assume the ltcc setup is better?

You are already using the Opti optical module, in order to run your LTCC setup. If you're running the LTCC already, there is no reason to go back to using the high voltage section of the Opti.

Last question, can i go ahead and use the 97 wiring harness, the motor came out of a 6sp car?? The LTCC is already wired into the harness, doesnt seem to be a big deal to wire it to the 94 harness but if i can avoid it id like to
