97 camaro, 95 LT1. Which ICM??

Got a 95 LT1 in my 97 Z28. I know the icm's are different for the years I think, but which year module should I use? I'm having slight trouble with a slight rough idle and low rpm hesitation. I have the 97 icm in there but it's original with 140k on it, and the only ignition or fuel part that's not new. Should I use the 95 module, even though it's a 97 harness? I know the connectors fit. Thanks.

Use the ICM that matches the year of the coil (95 dual connector or 96-97 single connector).

Thanks Rob. How do I test the ICM? I knows its really old and dont know if its in great shape or not. I know the connector to the ICM is getting 12volts both the hot wires, and the ground checks out, but wanna check the ICM itself. Do I check resistance or something?

I don't know of any test you can DIY. Auto parts stores often have a tester.
