i am thinking of buying a 97 30th anniversary z28. seller wants 5900 for it kelley blue book says 4800-5000. it has 144000 miles which i am not too sure about that seems like alot and it has some minor damage on the exterior as well as a tear in the seat. it does have a new water pump, jasper transmission, and new front seal replaced. What do you think would be a good price to offer. im thinking maybe 4500 but im not sure. any advice will be helpful thanx!!!

 

All I can do is offer you my personal opinion, so here goes.... I personally wouldn't buy a car with that many miles, becuase you don't know what you are getting yourself into.... The car is at a point in its life where you are going to most likely replace a lot of parts. Like seals, bushings and stuff like that.... Some of it isn't a big deal or that costly if you can do it yourself.... Does the motor itself have 144000 or the car???? How does the motor sound???? Any knocks or taps.... It sounds like there are a lot of imperfections on the car.... So i would say that it doesn't seem worth it.... I think you might want to do a little shopping around for the car.... Your better off getting something decent, you may have to travel a little, but for the right car, its worth it.... I hope this helps you out....
