96 SS No Spark

My SS quit this morning on the way to work. The car just quit running like you turn the key off. Pulled the car to work it has no spark. Has good fuel pressure. Do have a couple emmison codes don't thing this has anything to do with it. I do have a accel coil on the car going to put the orginal one back in tonight to see it changes anything. anyone got any ideas. Thanks in advance.

Check the opti signals.

there is a way to test the factory coil there too.

Check the fuses. Had the same thing happen to me a little over 10 years ago. Just stopped and it was a blown ignition fuse.

Re: 96 SS No Spark

So today was the first time the weather was good enough to work on my car. I checked the coil it had spark but was a orange color spark. So i was going to move on to checking the opti spark but i found my orginal coil the one that was on the car was an ACCEL. I hooked it up and the car started right up. So to test this i plugged the accel coil back up and the car would not start so looks like i got the easy fix. Guess the accel coil was not strong enough anymore.
