I need the firing order for a 96 lt1 showing numbers from the front of the motor

 

Same as the SBC has been since 1955.

Yep. 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2 1357 are driver side starting at front and 2468 are passenger starting at front. Opti actually has the cylinder labelled right where the plug wire attaches so you really don't even need to know the firing order...
