You will not get a code in OBD-I when you remove the AIR pump, as long as the fuse in the circuit is good.

94 did not have any vacuum lines associated with the AIR system. The later models had vacuum lines added as part of an AIR pump recall. The recall did not apply to 93/94 cars.

I'm removing that metal U pipe, will replace with hoses that go over top of engine away from heat and easy to remove. Makes working on plugs and sides of engine easier.
