i justed swaped my 95 motor with a 96 i started it up and right a way got check engine soon light the car runs good but just the lights on . My question is is there a diffrence in the 95 vs the 96 knock sensor cause thats the only thing i left on the 96 block.

 

Yes. 93-95 knock sensors are 4.5 Kohm resistance. 96/97 knock sensors are 100 Kohm resistance. They can not be interchanged. Knock sensor must match PCM (or the PCM modified).
