95+ opti-spark

My opti spark on my 94Z is all f**ked up and I'm looking to replace it.
Someone told me about converting it to a 95 opti. I'm looking at a parts list for
this conversion and I got two questions. Isn't the harness the same from 94 to 95?
And If I did this would I need a different timing chain?

The end of the harness that plugs into the vented Opti is different from the non-vented version, so you need to replace the harness from the gray connector on the passenger side of the intake manifold to the Opti. The 94 harness plug will not fit into a 95+ Opti socket.

The cam sprocket needs to be changed. Generally when you replace the sprocket you replace the chain, but I guess you could try and get away without changing the chain.

Don't know if you've seen this, but here's an article on the conversion.
