If you want to run the 93 ECM/Harness with the 95 motor then you'll need to either:

A) Swap the optispark, timing chain cover, and timing set of the 93 motor onto the 95.

B) Get an opti harness for a 95 and connect it to the 93 ECM (much easier)

Basically the opti plug for the unvented opti you have now won't fit into the vented opti for the 95. So you need to swap either the opti or the plug.

hmmm... you learn something every day, does it just splice right in or does he have to do a lot of rewiring?

I forgot about the opti harness. As far as I remember it will connect to the old harness without any problems as the connector on the harness side is the same.

Like Madwolf said it should plug right in although its fairly expensive for such a small harness (~$60). If I recall you might have to shave a little plastic tab off the connector but thats nothing.

Ok I'm confused here, you have both complet cars right? If you do, take the intakes off both engines put the 93 intake on the 95, plug off the oil sender, use the 93 oil sender use the 95 opti, with the 95 pigtail up to the wiring harness at the intake (yes it works) and use all the wiring and sensors and coil from the 93 and you have to worry about no programming (unless mods).
I myself have done the 95 opti conversion on my 93. This way you dont have to worry about weather to descreen or not...lol. oh and the 93 is real easy to fine tune with a FP regulator if the chip is a little off.

I'd say the 93 would be better. But like you mentioned above it is easier to tune and monitor the 95. How far have you gotten?

Dude what the hell?

I'm sick of people's misconception of 93 speed density cars. It has the exact same datalogging ability as a 95 .. Its also quite quite easy to tune. It takes me a total of 1 minute to burn a chip and not long to install it.

Plus too your not poping computers if a accident should happen.. your popping $5 chips.

The computer is just as capable on a NA setup with no matter how big of cam as a MAF car. i've got cars i've tuned running high 6's in the 1/8 on the stock computer ALL MOTOR!

There isn't a way that I know of. I can purchase a cable, laptop and software to datalog in a 95, but do you have some places that sells them for a 93.

Aright, I swapped the 95 motor into the 93 chassis. I used my 93 wire harness and computer. My first question is the 93 wire harness doesn't exactly fit what to do? The 150mph speedo is different than the 93 115mph speedo, engine temp guage is differant and the rpm dosen't work. Also I swapped the rear end, now the car dosen't shift right. Any help please?

Ken's engine removal from the bottom was the shiznit. I took about 4 to 5 days to drop my engine, tranny and kmember, by myself in my driveway. The 95 motor, tranny and k member I had out by mey self with hand tools in under 2 hours more like and hour and a half. It was so easy i couldn't belive it.
