95 Camaro Z28 Ignition fuse keeps blowing!
Hi. I was wondering if someone might have an idea why this is happening to my car. It first happend when i flored it, my car just shut off right b4 shifting. I tried starting it, didnt go, so i checked all of the fuses in my car and under the hood. It was my ignition fuse! Its 10 amp, bought a fiew new fuses, put it in, as soon as i put the key to the on position the fuse poped. I had no money to tow my car, so i tried ahigher one, and a higher, finally held at 25A. Held for a fiewdays, then it blew while puting car in reverse. Put another in, drove it up the summet and while going down hill i put it in N and started to coast, and car shut off again and fuse was toasted. Put a 30A in to get home. When i punch it, or even go faster/slowly, the tac and the spedomoter will spike, and bounce all over the place, like my cars going 160 at redlion then 1000 rpm@120 but isnt. I want to take my car to the shop, but was hoping i can maybe get out of that, or atleast save me alot of money for him to diagnose it, maybe someone can point me into the right direction/part. I dont have a car lift, and barly fit under the car, lol. Thanks alot guys.

Just to verify....by "ignition fuse", do you mean fuse #11 in the underhood box?
Generally a bad idea to put a fuse three times the circuit rating in there... good way to burn the wiring up.

There are a million "blown ignition fuse" threads. Do some searching and you'll find all of the possible answers. Mine popped a fuse when I melted some wires to my header on the passanger side. Maybe that's your problem, but I wouldn't know because I don't know your mods or even what kind of car you have for that matter. Since you're new, learn to use the search function. It can be your best friend.

Hi. I was just following a thread with the same topic. It turned out to be the automatic transmission range solenoid.
