Is the 95/96 ICM interchangeable for testing purposes?

I have a 95 formula parts car, its ICM is labeled: 466 / 409 4g26
Mine is labeled 466 / 599 5g10

I'm having a miss I'm trying to pin down, I was wondering if its ok to plug up the ICM from it temporarily to see if mine is bad. Although everyone says you can have the ICM tested, I've been to autozone, o'reilys, napa, and pepboys, with no luck, they all say they dont have the connector/some other BS

Whether it would work or not, I don't know. They are two different part numbers.

yea, well the pigtail seems to be the same, I guess I need to do some research and see if the wiring is also the same, if so, would you recommend trying it? or is it 'likely' to damage something, obviously not looking for a 100% answer, just a suggestion from experience.

Call a dealer. They may know. It's worth a shot anyway.
