94z heads and 97z heads questoin

Question 94z heads and 97z heads questoin

I am doin a Heads Cam install this friday my question

the guy porting the polishing the heads has a set of 94 Z28 heads and he has already ported and polished them.. are they anything differnt then my heads i have on my car? which is a 97??
should i just have him do my heads instead?

i am doin a LT4 hot cam kit new push rods new LT4 timing chain and Ported polish stock heads and intake

I have heard that the 561 castings out of the 97 cars is better. I bought some off a board member and have them ported so Im not sure what the gains are over the older heads. I'd have him do your 97s for good measure.

The 561 castings are about 10 cfm better stock but after porting thy end up at the same CFM. I am sure that the 94's will flow the same that he can get the 97's to flow if he has done much to them at all.

thanks you two btw i appreciate it.. i am currently tryin to get ahold of the guy to talk it over him because now i would feel better if we used my heads but ported heads are ported heads
