94 Z28 Stalled

Re: 94 Z28 Stalled
Have you scanned it for codes? Have you checked the fuel pressure?
Manual or auto trans?
Does is restart easily after it stalls, or do you have to let it sit for a while?
Sounds like it might be a heat soak issue. Could be caused by the ignition control module (ICM), the optical cam position module in the Optispark distributor (ICM and Opti can set codes that do not turn on SES light), or even the fuel pump.

How do I scan codes
Re: 94 Z28 Stalled
You need an OBD-1 scanner. Many of the auto parts shops don't have them, but they are available used on ebay. AutoXray made one. Snap-On made them. There are also dual OBD-1/OBD-2 scanners available. Actron makes good ones. A good alternative is downloading (free) Scan9495, a program designed specifically for the 1993-1995 LT1. You need a laptop and a low-cost cable. Program can read codes, record real-time PCM data, and produce data logs that we can help you interpret.
