Are you talking about the cassette holder under the radio? If so that is part of the console and you have to remove the whole thing as one piece. You can then carefully break it off if you want to remove just the holder part.

It's got something resembling staples holding it to the console. Best to pull the whole console to get it off without breaking anything.

Remove the whole center console, then use a hacksaw between the "box" part and the bottom of the console. I used a cutting wheel first to cut the plastic welds, but ended up needing to use the hacksaw to seperate it cleanly.

the cd/tape holder is melted to the console in about 5 or 6 places. I broke mine apart when I took it out to create a new home for my 7AL-2 box. Just be careful, and it should come apart pretty easy....
