94 transmission in a 96??
94 transmission in a 96??
The 94 4L60E is out of a 94 Impala. My car is in sig.
I have been calling around and was told the tailshaft is different and that even if you swap the tailshaft, pulse width modulator makes it a no-no. The transmission is a LevelTen I am looking at.
So, is this true?
I was thinking about buying it, but just might have mine rebuilt. I don't have any problems with mine, but 2 hard years on a 4L60E is pushing it and I am planning on making a lot more power and then spray on top of it.

I'm not sure about the 94 trans in a 96, but I went from a 96 trans into my 94. All I did was swap tailstocks. You have to be careful when taking it off. I broke one of the ears on my old trans while taking it off. I think you have to loosen them all evenly until the tailstock is ready to come off. Unless there's something different in the trans from 94 to 96, I don't see why it wouldn't work the opposite way. I'm sure someone on here can answer this though.
