94 T56 to 97 4L60E wiring changes

I have stripped the T56 wires out all the way back to the ECM, removed them from the ECM connectors. I am gonna do the same to the donor car, it is a 97 model. Will the wiring color codes in my 94 factory manual be the same for a 97 harness? Also for the park lockout, do I splice those wires into my clutch switch connector?

Thanks
David

Next time you post on Advanced Tech, you might want to explain that. We have no way of knowing why you are posting there. I can only assume you didn't read the guidelines, or chose to ignore them.

No I didn't ignore the guidelines, like I said I had no replies before. I want to know if I am going about this the right way, pullling wires from the harness. Have you done this before Fred?
Most guys go from an auto to M6, I want the 60Ft an automatic provides. Any mods needed to the trans tunnel where the shifter mounts?

Color code may not be the same BUT Pin out is. if you move the wires from the new car pin out to old car pin out you will be fine.

We did this conversion on a 94 396 car. Jim is MUCH happier not replacing a clutch three-five times a season. Living with a high stall is easier some times then living with a race clutch

You do need to wire the switch inside for a few things. back up lights Park-neutral start switch. You CAN use a B&M shifter if you are doing a conversion. you will need to add the wiring going to the Brake switch also. sound like you have a donar car. we did the brake and all

Good luck!

I am doing a swap with a guy who has a 97 T/A, I pulled all my wires out all the way to and out of the PCM connector. I have a factory manual that shows PCM pinouts, so I am gonna do the same to his harness and install it in my car. I am getting his shifter also. What and how needs to be re wired under the dash/shifter? Also I am building a solid roller 383. The 97 trans has a 13 vane pump already correct? I bought $700 worth of hard parts to go in the tranny , torque drive kit( hard input shaft and drumw/ reaction shell) 29 element sprag, front and rear 5 pinion planetaries, 1-2 accum spring, HD pump slide spring, Raybestos blue clutch plates for 3/4 pack, Raybestos kevlar band, harden pump rings. The trans already had altoie red clutches and a shift kit(trans go) think it will live with 450/470 RWHP? I have a yank ST 3500 converter. It will be raced on a regular basis.
