94 LT1 swap to 95 Z28
Hola all,
It's been a while since I've had to dig into my toys so I'm looking for a quick refresher course. Search results aren't tailored to my specs so here we go!
Goal: Put the 355 setup currently in my 94Z into my 95Z.
Questions:
Safe to use my 94Z's tuned ECM in my 95Z?
Should I use my 95Z Engine Harness or swap it out and install the 94Z Engine Harness?
The 355 has the vented opti conversion done. For some reason I'm thinking of CPS but I'm not sure if that means anything. With my gameplan is there any drawbacks or cons to any of the above listed? Am I forgetting anything?
Apologies for the noobness fellas it's been a minute.
Thanks for all the help, suggestions, or ideas!

Just swap the engine. Keep the 95 wiring harness. Use the 94 tuned PCM. There is no CKP sensor on a 94 or 95 LT1, and the CKP (crank position) sensor is not involved with an "Opti conversion".
One possible problem would be if you have a 4L60E trans. But you don't give us that info. The 94 PCM used a switched TC lockup, the 95 PCM uses a pulse width modulated lockup, and the two are not compatible.

Hola Injuneer,
I'm very happy to say I did the "T56 conversion" years ago. And good riddance. Apologies for not including that in the initial post.
Injuneer thank you so much for your prompt reply and all the knowledge you've shared over the past decade. You are truly one of the greats!
Much love all!
