94 caprice crank and hub + 97 camaro balancer?

I hear the hubs on the 92-95 LT1 are longer than that of the 96+ LT1. That makes me think that either the snout on the crank must be shorter or the balancer must have a different offset - am I right? Or can I use the combo above - thanks

The OBD-II cars had shorter crank snouts to allow room for the crank position sensor

There are also differences between the body types because of the different ways the belted accessories are mounted. Use the hub that goes with the accessory bracket you are using (as well as the type of opti).

When you say shorter crank "snout" you mean shorter crank HUB right, not an overall shorter crank? And I had asked elsewhere how to move the reluctor ring over to the older crank and someone said to just take it off and use the key from the newer crank - I thought these cranks didnt have keys? Thanks for the replies.

They do have keys for locating the crank gear and reluctor-just no key for the hub. There is no difference in the crank snout-only the hub.
