94 Camaro A4 problems 1500-2000 rpms
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
what it is and whats been done!
1994 Camaro Z28. This was a field car It was sitting in a field with blown head gasket and in need of a tranny rebuild. I replaced the engine and had the tranny done by a shop. I have been slowly replacing sensors chasing various issues. It has an SLP cold air intake and to date there is no SES light present.
I have cleaned the MAF replaced the knock sensor coolant temperature sensor. The TPS sensor and Oil preasure sensor. I have also replaced the Ignition module. Has an MSD Coil and new water pump.
Issue...
While driving under normal acceleration in OD at 45mph and 1500 Rpms the engine is rough. Its mild but feels as though the engine is starving for fuel or air. The problem continues until i reach 2000 rpms and 65mph. Again this only happens under normal acceleration If I get on the gas and symptoms go away. Also it dosent take place when I have the car in Drive only in OD.
Not sure if this maters but when I had the tranny rebuilt the Mechanic said the tranny was a 1996 4l60e. The previous owner or mechanic spliced in the connector on the tranny. Other than this issue I have no problems shifting outside of the 1500-2000 OD rpms.
