94-97 A/c Lines on a 93 Lt1 Car...

Hey everyone. I'm aware that the lines are different between the 93 and the 94-97 cars with the 93 car having a low pressure switch. My question is, has anyone actually installed the 94-97 lines on their 93? I'm just wondering if it will not work at all or what would happen. Thanks...

Good question. I need to know too. I just bought a 93 TA. And the mechanics said the pump and lines are all leaking. What am I in for to replace these? I have been getting the impression that the 93 is unique in many ways. Was this a mistake?

Pretty sure it's just a matter of not connecting 1 hose. There's a coolant hose on the throttle body that's not connected. I know this because I swapped a 95 LT1 into my 93 not too long ago. I can't remember exactly what's different, but it's not a huge difference.

The coolant line to the throttle body doesn't have anything to do with the A/C system??????

Heated Throttle Body

Why did GM make a heated throttle body anyway? Is it part of the EGR system? I can't imagine it being there to cool off the intake. But I sure can be wrong.

Oh wait! What year did they swap from r12 to r134a? Does it have something to do with that?

Please don't highjack the thread with questions about the reason for coolant to the throttle body, particularly when it has nothing to do with the original poster's question. Best thing to do in any case is to start your own thread, rather than highjack someone else's.
