I am sure it has already been asked but with over 4200 posts, I could be here all week looking for an answer.

I have a 93 Z28 Coupe A4 that I am wanting to swap at a minimum, the motor, into a 97 Z28 Vert. It is also an A4. Motor and trans in the 93 are FAR from stock (383 that cost me $7000 while over seas and $3000 in the transmission) I know i can't use the 4L60 in the 97 which sucks but I can live with moving over to the "E" just have to get another stall converter. My question is... if i have both cars... what will I need to do to make the 93 motor work in the 97.

 

Are you going to keep the 97 PCM and wiring harness, and run the MAF and full sequential injection?

I wanna keep as much of it a 97 as possible. I just don't want to have to build another 383
but yes I will be keeping the MAF and injection

 

You may have issues connecting the 97 engine harness to the 93 body harness connectors. Shoebox has a table of connector faces for all years.
