Hello this is my first post, I found out about this site threw my friend who has been a member for a while. I have just bought a 93 z28.This is my first z28 so I do not know to much about it. It seems like the brakes need bled, when I push hard on my brakes my low trac light comes on and abs inop. The trac light goes out but the abs inop light stays on until car is restarted. I heard that this may be my sensors.The dash cluster was swaped to a 94+ cluster which uses an electronic connection instead of a mechanical that the 93's use. None of the gauges work correctly. This is due to the cluster swap correct? Is there any way to get a 94+ cluster to work in a 93?

 

I have the same damn problem with the brakes on my 93. I wish I had more info but I haven't fixed it yet, if i find out anything I'll post it here.

As far as the gauge cluster goes, I thought the clusters were pretty much the same except for the tach which has a filter on the 93, and the temp gauge starts at 100* on the 93 vs 160* on the 94+. Anyways, you can have the factory cluster from my 93 for cheap, if you want it...it might save you a headache or two...let me know.

 

I thought the cluster was not the same because the car did not come with the z rated tires? I am pulling these tires and stock rims off ..... I have a set of zr1 rims to put on. I am also pretty unsure about the flowmaster mufflers that came with it. Oh well one thing at a time. I am almost certain that the sensors are bad do to doing a lot of research on this site, I will see if it fixes it? If it does I will be shure to post it. Please let me know the price of the clusters you have that will make things easy on me.
