93 vette LT1 ...gen1 or 2?

Is the engine in a 93 Corvette a first generation or a second generation LT1, and what is the difference, just flow?

Gen II, Vettes got the LT1 in 92, the prior motor to that was the L98 Tuned Port Motors.

92-96 vette blocks and 93-97 f-body blocks are the same with the exception of the 4 bolt mains of the vette to the 2 bolt mains of the f-body

"work" is a general word....

work in what? using F-body internals? building a 383? dropping it off a roof and killing your ex-girl friend when she comes by with her new boyfriend?

gen I 350's are from about 66 or 67ish to 92(93 in f-bodies)
Gen II is the LT1 in the f-body from 93-97 and vette from 92-96 and B-bodies for a short while.

although realisitly i'd say the TRUE gen I ended around 84 or 86 when they went with a 1 piece rear main seal and changed all the bolt patterns in later 80s.

the late 80s/early 90s gen I really has more in common with the gen II than it does with the rest of gen I.

internals are pretty much interchangable (although there are balancing issues) and there are more similiraties....
i'm not 100% on the dates

Thats about it, the motors them selves are the same. Block in one will work in the other.

There was a 350 engine called the LT-1 back in the 70's which is totally different than the LT1 from 92-97

So the 93 would be the 2nd gen LT1 engine from GM
