93 Speedo calibration

going from a 2.73 to 3.42 in a 6spd car with 110mph speedo. How do I correct the speedo? I thought I could just use the 3.42 chip but they were 150mph speedos and anyway that didn't work. How do I correct the speedo in my 6spd car? Can I just buy the 150mph instrument cluster to match my 3.42 chip or is it more complicated than that.

Thanks,
Brian

Re: 93 Speedo calibration

There isn't a 3.42 chip on 93s. All 6 speeds either had 3.23s or 2.73s. It doesn't matter if you have a 110 speed or a 150, they're both the same as far as internal calibration goes. You will need a speedo recalibration box. SLP used to make them and you can find one from time to time on ebay or in the for sale section. As an alternative you can get a Digital Dakota box.
