you should just go drag racing. they will let you mod the PCM. this whole "stock PCM" thing is a crock, and just another example of "the man" holding you down!

I see what your saying Mitch and it makes sense, you really cant have that much power in the series to right? Like prety much show room stock? I have my 93 air box and elbow piping, longer due to no maf, if you need it feel free to PM me.

Off subject, but what makes you think that? 93s can be tunned like any other LT1, they are just chip cars.

the class has a 230hp/300tq limit @ 3200lbs. for an LT1, that means a restricter plate.

the 93s did not have the gear ratio in the PCM, they changed speedo calibrations with speedo gears in the trans, all other fourth gens used the PCM calibrations

why does a 93 engine harness have a VSS connector on it? the spedo is not machanical, thus not gear driven.

Seems like you could easily get a VIN from the internet where a 1993 was for sale. Lots of times the VIN is posted with the for sale ad. That is, if you just need a random VIN.

A 1993 has an ECM (it's not a PCM).

I see this series has a lot of Mustangs in it, like more than F-bodies. Heres a vin off e-bay for a 93 Z28

A4's can be alter w/ speedo gears on 93's not M6's. You need a slp calibration box or digital dakota box on M6's. Just for clarification.

Keep all this info coming, boys and girls. This is a HUGE help!

I don't care if the speedo calibration is correct ... I won't be running a guage cluster. The computer jsut needs to see SOMETHING, correct?

Oh yeah? It's easy to tune for a drag car. Tune it at WOT and hope the brakes work.

On a road course all throttle positions are used, as well as the brakes and steering wheel.

I really think the computer could care less what it sees for the speedo.
