'93 Guys....What cam do you use?

I'm gonna be swaping in a new cam and headers. My Z is a daily driver so i don't want anything too wild. What cam are you guys using.

Uhh its not going to matter too much which cam for 93 they are pretty much going to respond as well as any other year. I went with the hot cam and am happy with it, I would go bigger but I want to pass emissions. No emissions I'd do the 230\236 XE cam in a second!@#$@ I love that cam. but for the money and emsisions the hotcam is hard to beat

Also talk to PCM forless Alvin for your programming Customer service is second to none !!!

sorry...should have been more specific. My main concern is tuning issues with the cam. I plan on getting pcmforless programing. But I want a cam that i won't have problems tuning after the install since the only thing i can do is get a new chip

Sounds like a good case for a ZZ3 cam machined to go into a LT1. Check the times guys are running with that thing. Says something about low and mid range TQ. A low duration cam like that will love stock heads and work very well in a daily driver.

I would recommend going with an Lt4 Hotcam or a Comp Cam 305.

Ive got a 230-236 112LSA in my 93 LT1. I had Al at pcmforless do the tuning. He has done quite a few 230-236 cars and really knows what he is doing.

hotcam and stock heads here! I'm not to happy with my times yet. Although I only went to track once with my last combo.

I drive my 93 everyday (city/highway), I after the stall TC I would not mind having a bigger cam.......... maybe next summer
