The custom grind cam in my car now pulls alot harder than the 847 ever did by far another guy on this board is running the same cam (set up) with stock bottom end and dynoed at 452rwhpand 399rwtq ..His car which is a convertible ran 12.15@115 last sunday with a 1.87 60 foot I like the drivability of the cam i have now alot better .... The 847 doesn't make alot of torque i need torque.... just some things to think about....
I would have expected MUCH more than 115 with 450 rwhp, convertible or not. That's James' car with the 'tin shed' heads correct?

I'd run the 847 on a 110.. why not, in a manual car with a decent gear in it, it shouldn't be bad . If you want to lug the hell out of your ride, build a stroker .

Mmm.. 115... well Greenbean with a big prob (dropping cylinders.. loses 100hp at 6300, picks up 75, loses 10, picks up 10, & tapers off LOL) went 120 at the Darlington shootout w/ interior and whatnot... and that car with it's problems is only making 411rwhp by 6300. Of course.. those are #'s from a dynojet 248c .

If you're wanting to try the cam on a 110, go for it.. its not like it's going to make a huge difference IMO .

Do the math 3900# car trapspeed 115 =463rwhp (prestage caculator .com) Weight plays a big factor in mph.. and no the car is owned by a guy named gary.. afr heads.

Don't get me wrong the 847 makes good power but listen to what people say i wish i did it would have saved me $1000s of dollars....Ask any cam tech if custom grind with your flow#s from your heads would be better than just going with some name brand cam.
Agreed that a true custom grind (done by someone who actually knows what they are doing), is always best. Im just too lazy for it.

As for rest, numbers in sig, race weight = pig (3750-3800?), launch 6k+.
