847 on a 110lsa what do you think

i called crane today to ask about it. they do have them. but he said the lower lsa would not rev higher than the 112 because of the lobe design, but he said the lobe desgins are the same on the 110 as the 112. so why wouldnt it rev a little higher. and make its peak power a little higher. but he did say it would lope more though. which was one thing i wanted.

so do you think i should stick withthe 112 or the 110. by the way its going on a set of loyds heads.

Funny no not enough power I went with a custom grind that works great with my heads... The custom grind cam in my car now pulls alot harder than the 847 ever did by far another guy on this board is running the same cam (set up) with stock bottom end and dynoed at 452rwhpand 399rwtq ..His car which is a convertible ran 12.15@115 last sunday with a 1.87 60 foot I like the drivability of the cam i have now alot better .... The 847 doesn't make alot of torque i need torque.... just some things to think about....

True but what was his 60 foot and his weight and he dynoed 350-360rwhp and what did he launch at? This guy launched at idle and on stock 10bolt also it was his second time ever at the track.... Don't get me wrong the 847 makes good power but listen to what people say i wish i did it would have saved me $1000s of dollars....Ask any cam tech if custom grind with your flow#s from your heads would be better than just going with some name brand cam.

Couple years back Lunati had a wicked LT1 cam, duration was 242/250 with a lsa of 108! You think that 847 chops nasty, imagine that.
