75/25 water + coolant okay for winter

I was wondering was is the lowest possible water to coolant ratio for the lt1 with dexcool in south carolina. Will this be okay for the winter or is there any other product that you can use to make the water consentration higher?

25% concentration of ethylene glycol will only provide freeze protection to +10degF. Is that low enough for SC?

Dex-Cool is "ethylene glycol", as is the conventional green coolant. The only difference is the anti-corrosion and lubricating additives.

There's always Evans NPG, but that uses no water at all, and requires a major cooling system change.

When you say major change what are we looking at? Flushing the system?

Different radiator, and no pressure cap.

Do a "search".... there has been a fairly extensive discussion of this in the past, although I haven't seen the subject come up in the last 6 months or so.
