6.9" pushrods?

OK. I finally got a chance to set the valvetrain up in the new 355. I'm using an 847 cam, Morel "link bar" hydraulic lifters, LE3 heads, K-Motion K-800 springs, COMP "Pro Magnum" 1.6 rockers, and ARP 7/16" studs. The block has been zero decked, and the heads slightly milled. I put my original 7.2" COMNP "Hi Tech" pushrods in it for "mock up" purposes, and it was obvious they are waaaay too long. The rockers roller is too far toward the outside of the valve at full lift. I put my adjustable length pushrod checker in it, and adjusted it until the roller was centered at 1/2 lift, and it looks tremendously better at full lift. My overall pushrod length looks to be 6.9"???? Anyone else ever need a pushrod this short? I've seen a few that needed 7.0". Could this be because of the link bar style Morels?
Any thoughts on where to find a 6.9" pushrod??

Thanks,
Frank

manton can make em.

sounds about right, with everything being milled. I haven't got my heads back yet but i'm sure I will need shorter ones

25690-16 are the Manley pushrods. You can order directly from them, I believe. I used theirs in my 355.

.300" is a pretty big change just just zero decking and milling the heads. something doesn't seem right about that unless there's a different design to the morel lifters than the stock ones that would make the rod seat sit higher up.

My block was light decked plus Lloyd milled my heads a bit. My pushrod length went from 7.200" to 7.000" in order to maintain good geometry.

.300 does not sound out of line considering the amount of metal taken off the block.

Even the Comp 850-16 lifters make the pushrod sit higher up in the cup than the stock OEM's. You can compare the cups side by side and see the cup is shallower on the Comp ones.

For reference sake, my zero decked 355 with comp 850-16 and Lloyd's heads is running 7.05" pushrods. This was after my pushrod checker test as well.
