58mm Throttle Body Debate
"Also Lloyd recommends a monoblade TB on his LE3"
There has been more than one dyno test that has born out Lloyd's recommendation. Especially with the LT1 intake.
Just a thought, but would not a mono-blade throttle body effectively increase the plenum size at wide open throttle? You have one big gaping hole at the throttle body.

well this subject is pretty hot.. because I have several experienced LT1 owners saying I'll gain 10-20rwhp and several others saying I'll lose HP....
Can't wait to see.
Also in fairness to the LE2 package, remember I ran it with the Borla Restrictor plate making my right exhaust pipe about the size of a half dollar.
I'm taking it out after my TB test so we will see what the dyno #'s are with that as well.

Over time I have went from a 48mm, 52mm, 58mm and now a mono-blade. At no time did I loose power going to a larger throttle body. The idea is at wide open throttle to keep the plenum as close to atmospheric pressure as posible. The larger the throttl body the better chance of that happening. Having one "too big" will not hurt a thing.

i just put on a 52mm summit brand throttlebody on my car. didnt notice any negitive effects but my air filter/intake got twice as loud. you can really hear it hiss over the motor. (just by switching)
i did notice that the throttle responce got much better. it snaps now, not that slight hesitation when your in neutral and tap the gas sort of thing. (at least mine did a little)
