58mm; BBK,Holley,AS&M, or TPIS the best?

Thats pretty much it.
Who picks who and WHY?

When new do they need anything other than the IAC + TPS?
Is there difficulty in adjusting the TPS?

I went with the Holley. IMO, it's the best looking throttle body available.

You need to reuse the stock lower coolant passage plate, the IAC, and the TPS. You'd probably need to slot the TPS to get the correct PCM voltage also.

Will it be obvious were to slot the TPS to get the correct PCM voltage?
Does this have to be done on the other Mfgs?

When you slot the bolt holes, all you do is elongate them so you can rotate the sensor on the throttle shaft to adjust the voltage. You'll see what I mean when you get there.

Pretty sure you'll need to do it with the other manufacturers.

Re: 58mm; BBK,Holley,AS&M, or TPIS the best?

My Holley 58mm had some weak points for what it cost.... the plates were slightly smaller than they were supposed to be, leaving an open ring between the edge of the blades and the bore of the body. Hard to get the idle down. I found a way to enlarge the plates that involved a large nitrous "pop" - not recommended.

Then the "stop" lever that sits in a groove on the inside edge of the machined aluminum cable quadrant was loose and would move, making the closed throttle voltage erratic - it had to be pinned. After solving those problems, and polishing it until it had a mirror finish its pretty good. But for the price, it could have been better out of the box.

The shop that does my work seemed to feel the LPE/Accel TB is the best, but I think its close to $700.

I went with a Holley, but they will only except the Holley top plate. I had to modify my MBA billet plate to fit.

I like my Holley. I also had to slot my TPS to get the correct reading, but it wasn't a real big deal.

I have the Accel/LPE 58mm and its been terrific for 11 years. It is substantially deeper/thicker than others I've seen, though..
