Is .578 enough for my cam dowel pin?

I reviewed the other threads on this topic, but could not find the minimum length for the cam dowel pin. My Comp Cams stick measured at .578, from the cam face to the pin. Is this enough or do I need to R & R the pin off the factory stick?

Cheers,
JD

Mock it up with some clay so you can see how deep it fits in the opti drive.

Thanks for the response,
i'll mock it up tonight; what's my minimum acceptable depth into the opti?

In my opinion if you get the opti to set on there go a head and run it. If it goes into the opti even a hair it'll work as long as its good enough to engage the opti. I'm pretty sure you'll be fine with the amount you have sticking out.

I would start to feel uncomfortable if it got down to a third of the way inserted.
