5 Codes??? P0100, P0141, P0400, P1641, P1642

My SES Light came on today right as I was passing the dealer, so I had them scaned, all he would tell me is the code number without charging me. This is what I got:

P0100
P0141
P0400
P1641
P1642

I have no idea what any of them are.
The car seems to drive fine, and the light came on at higher revs as I was merging.
Does anyone know what the codes are, and how to fix it?
also if i fix the broblem will the light go out byitself, this is the 4th or 5th time the light has come on, going off after a couple days.

Re: 5 Codes??? P0100, P0141, P0400, P1641, P1642

Ok, I found in my Haynes where the codes were and this is what I got:

P0100 - NA

P0141 - Oxygen sensor heater circut malfunction (pre-converter sensor, left bank)

P0400 - Exhaust gas recirculation flow fault

P1641 - NA

P1642 - NA

So by my logic the O2 sensor for the left bank is fried?
but what i dont get is where are the other codes from? and why would the light go off for a few days then come back on?

According the the info I have:

P0100= Mass Air Flow (MAF) Insufficient Signal Activity
P1641=Fan Control Relay 1 Control Circuit
P1642=Fan Control Relays 2 and 3 Control Circuit

Maybe try resetting you ECM and see if you can get the light to come on again and then check the codes. Kinda hard if you don't have a scan tool though.

AutoTap has a good list of codes on their site. You need to enter the manufacturer (GM) and then be sure to list the code with the FULL number.... e.g. P0100, P0141, etc.

AutoTap Code Checker

When you get this many codes showing up that involve loss of +12V power (all of them except P0400), you might want to start by looking for a blown fuse.

could this be causing my engine temps to climb very fast while sitting still?
the temp gauge will go to almost 3/4 after jsut a few minutes, but after a short drive at even pretty low speeds will bring it down.

Some of those could have been old codes, but I would definitely check the AP/Fan fuse (#7) in the underhood fuse/relay panel. If it is blown, your fans won't come on.

hmm the fuse wiht 25 on the top was blown, so maybe thats all that was wrong?

also I dropped one of the 5 fuses and cant find it. so I guess it will be a few hours befor I can get a ride to get new ones.

also how do I clear the codes without a tech II?
