5.85 I-beams with Eagle 5.875 crank?
5.85 I-beams with Eagle 5.875 crank?
I copied and pasted this from http://www.gofaststuff.com/cranks.html it is for a forged eagle crank 1 piece rear seal.
"435038756000 3.875" 350 SBC Internal 4340 Crank must use 6.000" Rod or Longer "
Can I use a forged 5.85" I-beam rod instead?
I know it says to use a 6.00" rod but I will be spraying nitrous, and have seen stoker kits that had scat 4340 forged 5.85" h-beams with arp2000 bolts.
I want to use a I-beam lunati pro mod rod, can I use this rod with this crank and say srp forged -14cc dished pistons?

I would guess it means the crank counterweights are too big to run a shorter rod. You could have them cut down, but that would add ~$75-100 to the cost and require more mallory metal to balance. I like a short rod for a blower setup and had to have the counterweights on my new crank cut back.
