Exactly ford heads flow pretty well for the size of their motors. As for the guy that said its not a true Hemi design it just has a Hemi valve arrangement. I believe thats the most important part. Many heads have open chambers that are Hemi shaped but don't have the opposing valve arrangement but they're not referred to as Hemi's.

Well I have a Dodge Ram with the Hemi and I love it. People are saying the heads really arent like those of a true hemi. While this is true dont let it mislead you to thinking they dont flow well. These heads flow EXCELLENT, and Ho rod with just a cam swap on a mostly stock engine (only had headers)
picked up 80 something hp. I love my HEMI. My goal for it is to make it BEAT an SRT-10. Im gonna have to cam it and do some head work and if that doesnt get me there I will strap a blower to it. hehe

well reguardless, I wouldn't worry about a new dodge hemi anything smoking you on the streets. You know how many of those stupid truck owners try to race me in their big "hemmmmmmmmi"

Yes I am serious. Ford is using a supercharger as a crutch so they dont have to redesign the P.O.S. motor. Take that blower away from the Mustang and it's just another piece of **** Ford.

If I remember correctly the cars that the 5.4 DOHC motor was in was lightened pretty good and limited production.

Lets hand build any motor and watch the power come up , even with same parts. Comparing that motor to a mass assembly line motor is silly.

You better ask yourself if that car came with a stereo or anything else for that matter. That was like throwing a V8 in a Miata. Power to weight ratio was good but that doesn't make it a bad *** motor. I'll take a L98 over that Ford motor.

Blah. Waste of time discussing this on a GM board.

Amen I run into this on the street all the time. A Ford without a blower or the bottle is just like any other "boat anchor". The ONLY reason any of the 5.0 Mustangs ran, or were so popular is because of the light weight...NOT THE HP!

Hmmm, I dunno. I guess I'd have to agree a little but the Cobra R would get more attention.
