5.7 to 6.0 rod

I was wondering what benifits you get from the 6.0. than the 5.7.

From my understanding the 6.0 rod allows the piston to be at TDC longer which helps combustion.
Smokey Yunick always used to say "Put the longest rod you can, into your motor"

This has been discussed a lot in the advanced tech forum and my take from it all is...
-Forced induction use 5.875 rod because of piston skirt and ring lands
-NA motor use 6.0 or longer if you can fit it in there with the cam you use.

6.0" rods also mean less cylinder wall wear as well.

You really ought to try a search. This has been discussed extensively here.
