my car is 95 formula and seems to be strong running car for being all stock in the motor area . <well its got an ls1 air intake> the problem is when i hit 4th gear the car does not have any pull . it runs good in 1st ,2nd, and 3rd but when i hit 4th its all over . i've raced a couple sti's and a couple neon turbos <srt-4> and i hold them off no problem until i hit 4th gear then they just come rite passed me . is this normal ?

3.42 gears <was a 6 speed>
2500 stall
umi adj torque arm
adj pan hard bar
adj lca
ls1 drive shaft

 

4th gear in an auto with 3.42 im asuming it doesnt pull because the wind resiatance above 140mph (about when you shift into 4th) is a lot...it take alota power to pull good in 4th..
prolly the 2500 stall is stock diameter and absorbing a lot of power also!

 

4th gear is a 0.70 overdrive.... it turns your 3.42's into 2.38's. With 3.42's and a stock tire diameter, you can reach 127 MPH in 3rd gear at 5,700 RPM. If you're racing that fast on the street, you're insane.
