Boosted applications have to account for the boost pressure on the backside of the intake valve, there is over 2" of surface there easily so 10psi of boost will provide at least 20lbs of pressure trying to open the spring. So do not take blindly NA spring recommendations you will need a little more.

thanks cory...yes comp recomended these springs for my application, and yes they are the big block spings, and yes i did f**k up the install...i wasnt aware that because of the smaller retainer used by the beehive sits in the pocket of the valve height mic, i needed to factor in the .150 in. height of that counterbore pocket, the pocket is normally a relief for double and tripple spring retainers that have lower inside diameters...live and learn huh? and no cory...its still raining so no head pulling today....unless you wanna do it for me...in the rain...

btw, anyone interested in a barely used set of stock length valves and hardened pushrods? i have a feeling ill have both for sale in the next week or so
