4.000 crank in LT1

I'm thinking 4.0 crank, with 5.85 rods, and a 1.15 compression height... Anybody made this happen before? What kind of clearancing did you run into? I'm mainly thinking cam clearancing... Any issues?

Thanks
Chuck

"Impossible" is a relative term. I guess it could be done, but it sure isn't practical.

Hmm... What's your definition of "impossible"? I did a search and it sounds like some people have contimplated doing it, but nobody has actually done it... Well, actually it sounds like Mark Montalvo did a couple... one with 4.000 and another with 4.125. Technically it would fit... but I just don't know how much clearancing I'd end up having to do. I think I may already have a small base circle cam... so I'll do some figuring. Would still like to hear from anyone who's actually tried it...
