Just wondering what some of you guys with 450-500hp N/A 396's are using for injectors..Brand,.. #'s? Also If sprayin a nice hefty 150-300 Shot on top of that, what are you doing then, and also what fuel pump (or pumps) are you running?? I want to run a safe set of injectors so the motor wont lean out at high rpm's but still want to get decent drivability out of them..?? What are your thoughts?? (I currently have a bosch style 365LPH in-tank pump..??)

 

I just ordered 42's for mine SVO type. I know a guy who is using 32 lb. Lucas disc type in a 383 putting down 430 RWHP at an 88% duty cycle through an auto without lock up. 42's are capable of making near 600 flywheel hp.

 

I have 50 lb. MSD injectors...Racetronix in the tank and an additional inline pump.

 

Is your "150-300 Shot" wet (injectors don't supply the extra fuel) or dry (injectors supply the extra fuel)? If its dry, which kit? Some boost the fuel pressure to get the extra fuel for the N2O, or you can run an aftermarket ECU that alters the injector pulse width, requiring extra injector capacity.

 

I was running SVO 30# injectors in my 383 LT1. I was making 420 at the wheels with a mild cam. If you are looking for a nitrous kit, I would reccomend a direct port system by NX. I was very close to going with that set up myself after lots of research. In the end I decided to go supercharged, and as a result am selling my SVO injectors if you are interested.

 

For what direct port kits cost when it is all done you can get a used Vortech kit...which is not a bad thing.
